Mark Swaim is a McAllen, Texas high school teacher, a loving husband to Mildred, and an enthusiastic, hands-on dad to Johnny and Jimmy Swaim. Growing up in a small Texas town not far from the local library, he had always been a voracious reader, and from there, the love of science blossomed. Passionate about learning the how’s and why’s of the world around him, it eventually led to his interest and passion for science, physics, and outer space. He is always on the lookout for new innovations, discoveries, and facts about space and the universe, and what it could mean for human life.

Mark Swain’s zest and interest in the sciences and how they pertain to human life is evident in his work and career as a teacher. Students thoroughly enjoy his enthusiastic manner of teaching, and how he makes even challenging space facts understandable to young minds. Mark’s aim to drum up even more interest among the young towards the science of space and exploration so that they may also spread this love and interest to others. He hopes, as he supports the school science clubs and annual Science Fairs, that this means more of the young minds are geared towards the future.
